A lot of people have been searching for a way to cast their phone screen to Quest 3.
Honestly, so was I.
As a drone pilot who loves FPV, I had one simple wish when I got my Quest 3: I wanted to fly my DJI drone while wearing the headset, putting the live camera feed right onto a massive VR screen.
I searched everywhere but couldn’t find a smooth, reliable solution that worked for me.
So, I did what any developer would do—I built one myself.
That’s how Tendy Link (Phone Cast) came to life.
But to be completely honest, once I finished coding it and started testing, I realized its potential goes way beyond what I initially imagined. It’s not just about checking notifications or watching YouTube anymore. The real magic is: It brings the entire Android ecosystem seamlessly into Quest.
My mind is already racing with all the fun things we can do with this:
🔹 Flying a drone with DJI Fly inside Quest 3 (Next video topic!)
🔹 Driving FPV RC cars with a giant VR viewpoint
🔹 Hooking up a digital microscope for massive macro visuals
🔹 Doing close-up cinematic camera movements with Gunpla models...
I truly believe that sometimes the best projects don't come from market research—they come from a pure desire to play and experiment.
If this tool that I built just for fun happens to help other Quest 3 players who share the same pain point, that makes it even better.
