Introduction
SpatialCam Lite (“we,” “our,” or “the app”) is a stereoscopic camera application for Meta Quest 3 and Quest 3S. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app accesses, how that information is used, and what choices you have. We are committed to handling your data responsibly and keeping your captured media on your device unless you choose to share it elsewhere.
By using SpatialCam Lite, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

Information the App Accesses
Camera and passthrough (required for core features)
The app uses the device’s passthrough cameras (including Meta Quest headset camera APIs) to preview, capture stereoscopic photos, and record stereoscopic videos.
Camera data is processed on your device in real time to build side-by-side (SBS) images and videos. We do not transmit live camera feeds to our servers.
Microphone (optional)
If you enable audio in recording settings, the app uses the microphone only while you are recording video, to mux audio into the video file saved on your device.
If audio recording is disabled, the app does not record microphone audio.
Media on your device (read access)
On supported Android / Horizon OS versions, the app may request permission to read images and videos from device storage so you can:
The app does not request broad access to unrelated personal files beyond what is needed for these features.
Purchases and Pro entitlement (optional)
SpatialCam Lite offers optional Pro upgrades sold through the Meta Horizon Store:
Pro features include unlimited recording length and YouTube 3D conversion.
Payment and billing are handled entirely by Meta, not by us. We do not receive or store your payment card or bank details.
The app uses Meta’s Horizon Billing / in-app purchase APIs to:
Check whether you have an active subscription and/or lifetime Pro purchase
Restore purchases you already own
Unlock Pro features in the app
A small amount of entitlement state (for example, whether Pro is active via subscription or lifetime purchase) may be cached locally on your device (app private storage) so the app can work offline and respond quickly. This is not uploaded to our servers.
Platform feature data (User ID / Subscriptions / IAP)
To use Meta Platform features requested in Data Use Checkup (DUC), the app may process the following data returned by Meta APIs:
We do not receive payment card numbers or bank account details from these APIs.
Local app settings
Recording preferences (frame rate, bitrate, audio on/off, etc.) and similar settings are stored locally on your device.

Require you to create an account with us
Upload your photos or videos to our servers
Collect your name, email, or contact list through the app
Collect precise location data
Run in-app advertising
Use third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs in the current release
How We Use Information
We use the access described above only to:
Provide stereoscopic photo capture and video recording
Save and organize your media on your device
Enforce free vs. Pro feature limits (for example, free tier video clips are limited to 10 seconds per recording; Pro removes that limit)
Verify Pro entitlement (subscription or lifetime purchase) via Meta’s store services
Improve stability of features as implemented on your device (without sending your media to us)
We do not use your captured photos or videos for advertising, profiling, or sale to data brokers.
Where Your Data Is Stored
Content you create is saved using the system media library, typically:
Photos: Pictures/SpatialCam/
Stereo videos: Movies/SpatialCam/
YouTube 3D exports (Pro): Movies/Youtube3D/ (when you use that feature)
All of the above remain on your Meta Quest device unless you copy or share them yourself (for example via the system gallery or file tools).
Sharing with Third Parties
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
The only meaningful third party involved in app operations is Meta (Meta Platforms), when you:
Download or update the app from the Meta Horizon Store
Purchase or manage a Pro subscription or one-time lifetime add-on
Use Meta Quest system services tied to billing and entitlements
Meta’s handling of store and account data is governed by Meta’s own privacy policy and terms, not this document. We receive only what Meta’s billing APIs provide to verify your Pro entitlement (subscription and/or lifetime purchase).
We do not integrate social networks or third-party ad networks in SpatialCam Lite.
Data Retention and Deletion
Your photos and videos remain on your device until you delete them (for example in the gallery or file manager). Uninstalling SpatialCam Lite does not automatically delete media already saved to shared storage.
Purchase records (subscriptions and add-ons) are retained by Meta according to Meta’s policies. You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Meta / Horizon store account settings. If you buy the lifetime add-on while a subscription is still active, you may cancel the subscription in the store to avoid duplicate charges.
Local app data (settings, cached Pro entitlement flags) is removed when you clear app storage or uninstall the app.

Deletion requests (available to all users globally)
The right to request deletion is available to all users, regardless of country or region.
How to request deletion:

Include your Meta account email (or app-scoped user ID, if available) and what you want deleted.
How deletion works:
Data we control locally in the app (for example app settings and cached entitlement flags) can be deleted by:
Media files created by the app are stored on your device and can be deleted by you in system gallery/file manager.
Store/billing records (User ID, subscription records, IAP records retained by Meta systems) are controlled by Meta. We will direct you to Meta account/store controls for deletion or account-level data requests and will assist with guidance when requested.
We respond to privacy/deletion requests as soon as reasonably possible.

You can revoke permissions in system settings; some features will stop working if required permissions are denied.
Children’s Privacy
SpatialCam Lite is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact zenchang.com@gmail.com and we will assist in addressing it.
International Users
The app is offered for Meta Quest devices worldwide. Privacy and deletion requests are accepted from all users globally through zenchang.com@gmail.com. Some regions may provide additional legal rights, but baseline rights and deletion request handling described in this policy are not limited by geography.
Security
We rely on:
On-device processing for camera and media workflows
Platform security provided by Meta Quest / Android for app sandboxing and storage
No central collection of your captured media by our backend
No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure; please protect physical access to your headset.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy at the same URL and change the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy. For material changes, we may also note them in store release notes.
